Crowler can. No dating information found, but it is a recent release.
Very dark brown colored body, impervious to back light. One finger of dark tan head, which fizzes away to a bubbly ring. Film on the glass left behind.
Aroma is roasted malts, which resembles deep dark chocolate because of the cacao and cinnamon. Sweet vanilla. Some hint of the peppers.
Taste is somewhat sweet but the dark chocolate is there and rises to prominence at the end. Cinnamon and vanilla kind of swirl together for the sweet and spice. Some hint of the peppers but no immediate burn, more of a vegetal flavor.
Slightly more than medium mouth feel, with a skosh of creaminess. Quiet carbonation.
Advertised as an imperial pastry stout, this beer has a very tasty mid to late taste profile, which is full of spiced dark chocolate, and made somewhat sweet by the vanilla and lactose. Higher ABV% is very will hidden, but does bring forth some stomach warming.
