Graciously sent from 2 stellar BAs. 16.9 ounce bottle, poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a dark as night brown, mocha cap colored foam of about a finger. Unfortunately receded fairly quickly leaving a just a swirl on top.
Nose is decadent. Brownie batter with vanilla mixed in. Rich fudge dominates.
Taste follows where the nose left off. Big, rich and chewy brownies, dark fruits, smooth vanilla, mild roast, marshmallow fluff, coconut. No boozy heat, no burn. The vanilla definitely comes out more the warmer this beer gets. This may be the best tasting adjunct stout I’ve had in a long time. Barrel and bourbon is there but definitely in the background.
Huge, chewy and slick mouthfeel. This is where I need all my imperial stouts to be.
Thrilled to taste this beer. It does everything right.
