Deep mahogany — near black — with a thin, fizzy, short-lived, mocha-colored head that very quickly settles into a pencil-line crown. No lacing.
Huge vanilla, caramel and chocolate in the nose. It’s like a caramel-and-vanilla soaked brownie.
Massive vanilla up front in the taste. A little chocolate bitterness in the finish, like a corner-piece, dark-chocolate brownie. There are hints of caramel and dark fruit in there, too, but the vanilla and chocolate are definitely the headliners.
Thin bodied for the style with modest carbonation.
In the running for the most vanilla-forward beer I’ve ever had. The quality chocolate in here is also intense, though. The alcohol is well hidden in the taste, but hits you quickly. Excellent dessert beer.

Jet black, nearly opaque with a dark tan head. Aroma is dominated by vibrant, fruity vanilla. Flavor is skewed the opposite way, with the vanilla taking a backseat to the ultra bitter cacao nibs. It’s more burnt coffee than dark chocolate. It’s a great beer, but I wish the vanilla would have been more present in the taste. ABV is very well hidden at around 45-degrees, but shows up as the beer warms.

This is great beer! It tastes like the beer your grandma would brew for your birthday (assuming she brews).
I had it from tap at the brewery. Blackish- brown color with light head and lacing. Very fragrant chocolate smell. Tastes like dark chocolate fudge infused with vanilla. Thick smooth feel compliments the intense flavors. This is an excellent beer!

poured into a pint glass via bottle
color is a nice licorice black with a small amount of tan foam
smell is vanilla extract , caramel and some type of barrel (bourbon?)
taste is a bit boozy off the bat but sweet vanilla/marshmallow up front with the barrel presence right behind
carbonation is low
mouthfeel is medium to full
if the booziness mellowed out, I think this would get higher marks in the taste dept.
not an over-the -top vanilla bomb like i was hoping for but still enough to keep me happy..soild!
