This 500ML bottle is my first drops of Turning Point.

I’ll spare you the drama – looking at the other scores, pretty sure I have a bad bottle, or a bottle that was somehow compromised. No signs of leakage at all, but the cap comes lose silently & the beer is deader than my great-great-great grandmother. Everything about the beer is flat & lifeless, including the taste. A couple ounces & I’m done trying to wade through this.

I wouldn’t review this but I saw a few “bad bottle/no carb” notes on Untappd as well, so this isn’t my singular bottle getting maliciously manhandled. This happens to small breweries. It’s unfortunate, but it was also a pricey bottle that sucks, so the score must as well. Too bad.

At first thought, I was cautious that a smaller brewery I'd never heard of would age a stout between 13 and 18 months, especially with multiple adjunct flavors. This beer quelled any caution.

Fantastic maple nose that lingered, not overly viscous, but sturdy, and a taste that melded coffee with the maple, and vanilla that provided a nice, smooth finish.

I was lucky enough to have a 5-6oz. pour at a share, and I would've had more if possible.

Awesome stuff, and I hope I'm lucky to try more Turning Point in the future.
