Pours a dark, creamy-looking, purple-raspberry color with three fingers of raspberry head. Good retention and decent lacing.
Huge, creamy blueberry and raspberry aroma. Sweet more than sour.
The taste is less sweet than expected. Light sourness with clear blueberry and raspberry again, along with some definite creaminess, and strong salt in the finish. But it’s not the same explosion of juiciness and creaminess from the nose. There’s a hint of toast mid-palate, then some berry tartness mixes with the salt for a semi-dry finish.
Medium bodied, a little milky in the feel, with light carbonation.
The look and smell of this are extreme. The flavor is very nice, but comes across as fairly clean tasting by comparison. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if they dialed the sweetness up a smidge I bet people would kill for this. It’s delicious as it is nonetheless.
