Thick pouring beer. Pours pitch black. 1/2 finger brown head, that actually lasted a bit. Considering the ABV, I was surprised. It dissipates to a thin ring arc around the glass.
The nose is a very deep peanut butter aroma that's augmented by vanilla. There's hints of barrels in the aroma, but the main aromas - peanut butter and vanilla - are the stars.
Taste - the vanilla outshines the peanut butter to me, but the 2 flavors compliment each other so well. These main flavors are backed up by the flavors that barrel aging add to it.
This is probably the thickest beer I've ever had. So thick, and smooth. There's so little alcohol burn from the high ABV - not hot at all.
This is one hell of a stout from Turning Point, and I highly recommend it.
