Look: Poured slightly cold into a pint glass. Appearance is a murky yellowish brown that turns more yellow when held up to the light. Moderate bright white head with modest lacing left behind.
Smell: Smell is strong and noticeable immediately after being poured. Noticed the citrus, some pineapple and mango up front. Also caught a whiff of something resembling lime (likely from the Wai-iti hops).
Taste: While the smell is classic with some variation, this one has a weak opening of tropical fruits and hops. I get the tropical fruits initially but it almost seems to be cut off by a lime/bitter fruit taste. The taste is not unpleasant, just not something I'd think to include with a beer of this style.
Feel: Easy on the tongue, pillowy and goes down smooth. Lingering bitterness on the tongue not related to hops takes it down a bit bit overall, still good and drinkable.
Overall: Not my favorite from Turning Point and one that I think suffers from the hop choice more than anything but still an overall good beer.
