Absolutely hilarious! From marketing to recipe formulate, from sip to finish, Turning Point is turning heads with a beer that's both tribute and mockery of country music's darling '90's singer.
Pouring hazy orange, Shania Tang looks the part of astronauts favorite beverage as the beer fizzes at the rim then falls short. High on citrus, the orange leading scent is both sweet and tangy to the nose with a hint of wine, cider and stone fruit. Sweeter on the palate, the flavors kick off with the candied sweetness of taffy, sherbet and fructose.
Much of the same transpires across the middle palate. Full fruitiness is of all thing orange while a mild creaminess offers a hint of body that the fruit juice doesn't provide. Juicy and radiant in its own, the bold and candied orange character is balanced slightly by cider and white wine. Once complementary flavors of mango and apricot join the fray, a sense of belini rounds out the late palate.
Finishing with impressions of orange soda, the carbonation adds a bounce to the beer while the tartness adds a mild balance before the beer finishes candied and soda-sweet with an brisk aftertaste of orange peel.
