Drank 01/24/25. No can date, but purchased Dec. 2024.
Pour is jet black with a cinnamon colored cap of fizzy foam; doesn't last too long before fading to a little ring around the glass.
Nose is bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee
Taste follows. Pretty decent hit of bourbon up front followed by marshmallow, chocolate, chocolate covered marshmallow. The bourbon notes are nice and prominent and cut a lot of the marshmallow/vanilla sweetness making this beer surprisingly drinkable. Roasty, dark chocolate finish.
Thick, creamy body.
Overall a good beer. I'm surprised it isn't coming across sweeter than it does. As I said, I think the bourbon helps to cut through some of the sweetness.

Very good BA stout if you like them sweet. Hot, but at 16% and fresh...very well masked. If you're into aging beers, this is an excellent choice. MF is top notch.
