Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a two finger white head that dissipates to a thick cap with good lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, citrus and fruit forward hops, lemon, berries, white grapes. Flavor is biscuit malt with a bit of graininess, white grapes and berries, lemon. Crackery finish with nice lingering berry notes. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A quite bisuity/crackery lager that leans in profile to a kellerbier in malt style. Classic Nelson sauvin fruit flavors from the hops. A well hopped and nicely grainy lager that is a great change from the standard domestic lager.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, white head that falls off rapidly leaving little lacing, this looks decent. The nose is a beautiful expression of Nelson Sauvin hops. Bright, grape, gooseberry, preserved lemons, white wine are all present. A little pepper, even? The malt backbone is clean and crisp here, with a touch of cracker to complement the hops. The palate opens clean, bitter, creamy and refreshing. Mineral-rich white wine, grapes, gooseberry, a pleasant petrichor note are all present. The malt character is mild, and the beer is cleanly fermented with a mild fruity lager note. Drying, bitter on the finish with a lingering wine and gooseberry note. The mouthfeel is a little off, though. The carbonation dissipates rapidly, resulting in a rather slick and creamy feel, one that doesn't entirely work IMO. Still, this is very good and comes with high recommendations.

Fingerprint clarity through a polished brass color, with a fine looking coarse bubbled bone white foam. Not much retention or any lace to speak of.
Not exactly a punch to the nose of aromas, but there is no question of Nelson Sauvin's presence. Mild white wine with a touch of burnt rubber.
And then the roundhouse. Sure as shit this is Nelson. The classic and pungent "gooseberry" flavor that few of us have actually had, but know it quite well thanks to this hop. White wine, rubber band, and a toasted sesame party cracker finishes things off.
Exceptionally light and clean with a good balance favoring the bitter side of the line. Easy to drink with a bone dry finish, despite a softer blow of carbonation.
This is a winner. How could it not be, considering the sources. A little steep for the sixer, but damn well worth it. I'd love to drink this all spring and summer.
Cheers.
