Pours a yellow/golden color with a small amount of head and an aroma of malt grains. It has some sweetness, maybe like honey. It has some bitterness on the finish, but mild and refreshing. Good premium lager. Rated 5-17-2023

apparently used to be called dive bar lager, i just had it for the first time under this name, a simple but impressive brew, seemingly adjunct free, slightly european on the grain side, light enough to pound hard on without being too minimal, and clean and crisp on the ferment, well lagered, beer flavored beer, but a good one. i have not had much form these guys, need to make that a priority. very bright light golden beer, good clarity and shine, lots of rising bubbles, looks polished and snappy to me. the aroma is subtle, light cereal character and perhaps german pils malt, crackery and earthy but still delicate, not totally neutral which i like, and even somewhat prominent for the style while still being real pale and dry, not a lot of hops here, and a tidy but recognizable lager yeast component, nice minerality and overall water chemistry underneath. the flavor is the same, this is grain driven but still super easy to drink, no sweetness, metallic notes, or cheap vibes here at all, and i love the malt profile with the fast finish later on. just enough hops for balance and crispness, but light on the bitterness, softly herbal as it warms up but i drink this pretty fast. refreshing carbonation, technically excellent, makes me thirsty for more of their stuff!
