This beer pours with a vibrant, golden hazy appearance, inviting you in with its lively, sun-kissed hue. The nose is bursting with the bright, zesty aromas of freshly squeezed citrus, perfectly balanced by the juicy essence of stone fruit and the sweet fragrance of ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, it opens with a refreshing wave of succulent peach and apricot, followed by the tangy zest of lemon and the sweet, tangy burst of oranges. The experience is rounded off with a smooth finish offering a refreshing and tropical vibe that lingers delightfully. A truly fruit-forward and juicy IPA, perfect for those who crave vibrant, refreshing flavors.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned February 12/25. My fifth beer from the Kingsville, Ontario brewery, and fourth for 2025. Admired by Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Nov 9 2023 and served barely chilled. I bought this last week - guess I should have checked the date beforehand.
Pours straw yellow, with countless bits of sandy sediment fogging up its complexion. An inch of creamy, foamy white head retires within a few minutes, coating the glass with an even band of lace in the process; the other remnants include a frothy cap and collar. Honeydew melon and peach on the nose, with hints of berries, Tang and earthiness.
The flavours are similar - melon, peach and orange are what I'm getting, with hints of berries and lemon peel. Finishes with some earthy, dirty, resiny hop bitterness that is a stark contrast from the fruity forefront; hints of citrus, melon and earthiness dissipate into the aftertaste. Medium in body, with middling carbonation and a frothy, fizzy mouthfeel; not especially drinkable.
Final Grade: 3.49, a B-. Kingsville's Hazy IPA isn't necessarily a bad beer, but I don't think it's a particularly well-made pale ale. The aroma and flavours are both highly subdued, and I was not a big fan of the bitter finish, which is off-style and clashes with the rest of the profile. For the record, I am cutting it a bit of slack because of its age, and would be up for a revisit in the future if I happen upon a fresh can.
That being said, there are other breweries that use their traveling sales staff to pull old stock from shelves, so that consumers don't get a bad impression of their products... and I bought this in Essex county, so they wouldn't have even needed to travel very far.
