This beer pours a nice golden color with a minimal head and a wonderful fresh hop aroma. I Love this time of year. The taste is smooth with a mild bitterness and mild citrus. really like this beer. Rated 11-27-2024

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. 2024 version, canned 9/26/24.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a light-to-moderate haze anda. thick head of frothy ivory foam.

Smell: somewhat dry, toasty malt with a very earthy hop aroma. It’s not bad, but it needs something maybe sweeter or brighter to balance out those earthy wet hops.

Taste: much like the aroma, this is super earthy and a bit grassy. I mean, not too unusual for a fresh hop beer, but it needs something else to jazz it up a little. The malt is a bit sweeter than in the aroma, which helps, but it needs something brighter, too.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a decent enough fresh hop, but not really at the top of my list.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Canned 9/27/22.

Pours clear light golden with a generous head that settles into a thick, uneven layer with powerful lacing. Smell is vaguely tropical fruit and some fruit skin, moderate cut vegetation.

Taste is kind of following the same theme, but I get some honeysuckle sweetness, the fruitiness is more muted, and the cut vegetation transmutes slightly into a resin bitterness.

Mouthfeel is a light, clean, dry texture. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.

16oz can in a half pint shaker. Dated 09/26/24. Similar notes, brighter and cleaner, though still a strong earthy bitter. Better than I thought previously, but not drastically so.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, orange, vague fruit esters and a little dankness, inviting. Flavor is pale malt, tangerine, grapefruit, mild stone fruit and some dankness; orange and grapefruit rind in the the nicely assertive bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Next up is another Amarillo fresh hops, a hop that has been very reliable for a single hopped ale. It comes through nicely in this one with its characteristic orange flavors and some mixed fruit to keep things interesting. The aroma was particularly nice, one of the best smelling IPAs this year. Flavor is not as estery, but with a pleasant profile and an unexpected solid dankness. The finish bitterness is among the best this year. Great fresh hop. Liked the can graphics.
