Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a 1 finger fine white head forms then over a couple minutes it dissipates to a ring around the rim. Very light lacing forms. Body is a golden yellow with classic hefe haze. Light carbonation.
Aroma is yeasty and bready with some nice traditional hefe banana esters and a very very light but bright hopping that is all bittering. Beyond that the malts are very light and sweet.
Taste follows the aroma with nice hefe banana notes and a wheat malt with a dry sweetness as well as a nice barely backbone. There is a sweetness but it is balanced with some good dry flavors and light hop bitterness. More dry than a true German hefe but the yeast is right.
Feel is smooth drinkable and a bit thick as the style should be. Very drinkable but the malts are slightly mouthcoating then as the beer finishes slowly the feel becomes more dry priming you for another sip.
Overall this is a good true to style hefe. Very enjoyable, not overly hoppy but detectable, and nuanced. I'd drink this again.
