I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had Belgian malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright Belgian malt base with finishing hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A collab with Full Boar Craft Brewery, I've added this under Buried Acorn since they seem larger; but both have roughly the same number of ratings on UnTappd. I bought two cans from Beer Drop. The first, I drank without much thought as I was thirsty and in a hurry. In reviewing the 2nd, I'd have to say that this is a decent Belgian for young brewers.
1000 really Looks and Smells average. Not a lively yeast, so foam fades quick and fruit seems mute. Tastes likewise, but it is balanced and that is an achievement for a beginner when Brett is involved. The bubbles implied in the ale's name are there, but medium to light in my mouth.
However, I give Big Overall Hugs to Buried Acorn for venturing thoughtfully and respectfully into the Belgian tradition and doing well for a five year old. I also like Acorn because it has helped revive Syracuse, one of those post-war cities that took several decades to reinvent itself and recently seems to have done that. Perhaps the breweries should be given more credit.
