A classic Extra Special Bitter with a proper British backbone. Rich special roast and toasted malt lead the way, balanced by earthy, floral hops and a firm but civilized bitterness. Notes of toffee and light caramel mingle with a clean finish that invites the next sip. Full-flavored yet endlessly drinkable. No fuss, no frills, just proper pints.

On tap at brewery (nitro pour):
Light brown body that might have a light haze at most. Ever so slightly beige tinged off-white head that sustains in the nitro pour.
Nose has a little spice to it, sitting atop a toasted bread malt base. The taste avoids this spice, bringing medium toasted cereal malt and some toasted bread up front. Mildly earthy-leaning piney hopes follow in back - a little like American hops might be involved, but not overwhelmingly. Pretty solid effort.
