Poured from a wax-topped bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Slightly opaque copper brown pour with thin white head. Modest ring of lacing.
S: Dark fruit and Belgian candi sugar. Sweets with some vanilla and spice.
T.F: Semi-sweet to start. Brown sugar and old fashioned candy. Dark fruits... fig, plum, and baked raisin. Yeast and spice... bourbon is nicely meshed with the other flavors. Vanilla and oak with a bit of booze. Medium bodied. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
O: An outstanding barrel-aged Dubbel. Mixes the best aspects of the Belgian with the bourbon-barrel aging. They nailed this one.
