The sun sets just a little bit later each day and it sets the scene for this sangria inspired summer ale. We used zappa hops for a subtle grape flavor that is fused into this Spanish influenced concoction. Blackberry puree is then added for depth of flavor and color. Salud!

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed out purple-ish berry swirlee pour. Thick foamy white head. Great lacing. Some hop sediment at the end of the pour.
S: Strange mix of citrus, fruit, and blackberry.
T.F: Very odd flavor... defiinte citrus... tangerine... and generally fruit. Subtle grape and berry comes in later but works surprisingly well. Maybe some sweetness up front but some surprising hop bitterness as well. Fairly light bodied... well carbonated. Sticky. Tangy fruit and blackberry to finish.
O: Billed as a session IPA, which is not terribly accurate. It's more of a low ABV fruited IPA.... but whatever it is... I really enjoyed it and it looks pretty awesome (or hideous depending on ones tastes). Unique and creative... and I liked it enough to order another 4pack.
