16oz can into a pint glass. Canned on 7/15/20, so over 2 months old. Nitro, so pour aggressively.
Jet black body. Small pale tan head which disappears quite quickly. No lacing.
Strong and delicious aroma of sweet strong coffee.
On tasting, this is a well crafted beer. Overall, tastes like sweet strong coffee. The abv is well nigh invisible in taste, but I'm feeling it. A light bitterness counteracts the sweetness. Oats smooth it out.
Mouth around medium, finish sweet coffee
Overall, this beer could have fallen into the one dimensional trap. Although coffee is the dominant flavor, oats and the light bitterness add to this beer. The only element I'm not getting is the toasted coconut, but since this often ends up coating the tongue, I'm ok with that. Nice beer, from an up and coming brewery.
