At one time, Avon & String had it all. Money, muscle, and most of all, respect. The towers fell, the corners evolved, and there was no re-up in sight.
In the first of several real west side stories, this west coast ipa features Cascade, Columbus, and Falconer's Flight hops for a vicious piney bite, yet smooth malty finish.

16oz can into a pint glass. No freshness dating.
Bright golden body until the last ounce is poured in. Persistent white head leaves a sheet of lacing. Aroma is a little odd, musty fruit. On tasting, not getting "vicious" (as described on the can) piney bite, though it is present. Sweet, hoppy, earthy, a touch of non citrus fruit. Mouth is full, finish is lightly bitter with a sweet wash.
Overall, not the fiercest West Coast by any means. But a pleasant drink as it stands.
