The Firth is a large, deep bay on the west coast of Scotland. This big bold water that has played a historically important shipping role for the U.K. has inspired this big bold ale that shares its namesake. Ruddy in hue and ripe with notes of toast and caramel this beer is dedicated to Roger's Ancestors who inhabited the once small fishing villages along the Firth.

Pretty spot on for the style.
Smells like a spent grain bag, in a good way. Nice dry finish to it. Hops are present but restrained.
Copper-bronze color with a thin white head and nice lacing on the glass.
A pretty solid brew all around.
6.3% alc. Highly recommend.

16oz can into a dimpled mug. No freshness dating.
Great looking beer. Reddish brown body, loose foamy off white head, streaks of lacing. Strong sweet malt aroma with a little peat. Taste follows the nose with the peaty notes lasting into the finish.
Overall, a well put together Scotch Ale, enjoyed it very much.
