On tap at the tavern, served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Very pale gold and cloudy, melted butter. Head dissipates quickly, minimal lacing.
Smell: Delicate aroma, sweet. Kettle corn.
Taste: Wheat bread, toasted corn, decent hops finish, bitter and nutty, almost like acorn. Aftertaste is slightly off, a bit like those cheap vanilla sandwich wafers; goes away quickly and was not noticeable when consumed with food.
Mouthfeel: Light body. Very smooth going down. Tastes boozy with a large swallow.
Overall: Lacks the delicacy you'd expect from a typical kölsch, more resembling a bold pilsner. It's listed as a "tavern kölsch" in the menu so it might be intentionally more hearty. Not awful, but I'd recommend their IPA or brown ale.

Light and refreshing, well carbonated with the faintest of lemon taste. A good reflection of the style.
I tried every beer on tap and this was their best offering.
