On tap at the tavern. Served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Dark copper. Thick with visibly increased surface tension. Small head and minimal lacing.
Smell: Nothing much on the nose. Faint hint of oak.
Taste: Malty and smoky. Pumpernickel, walnuts, cigar smoke. Toasted marshmallow and mild hops bitterness in the finish. Tastes improves as it warms, especially the finish, becomes nice and toasty.
Mouthfeel: Thick and soft. Creamy. Really satisfying.
Overall: A tasty, straightforward ale. Shame it's only seasonal.
