1 PINT can
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours an orangish, dark red color. It is murky and has no head to speak of.
The peach comes through surprisingly well considering which fruits it is up against. The cherry comes through nicely as well. The tropical fruits take a back seat.
Cherry and peach forward. Fruit medley follows. Tastes like fruit punch smoothie. Barely tart.
Full bodied with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel
Delicious smoothie sour. I am stuffed now. These things are filling.

What is there to say? None of these smoothie sours are ever going to be pretty. They smell as advertised - all the fruits are there and fresh - and the Mortalis smoothie sours smell delicious.

When I saw this on Tavour I figured Chimera was a separate series from Mortals that I hadn’t heard of before, but it turns out this is the only one. Interesting. The concept of a fruit salad beer seems rather arbitrary, as some of these fruits I wouldn’t consider standard in a fruit salad, but I digress. Let’s get into it
Pours an opaque pinkish orange worh 2 fingers of pinkish white head that quickly fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
For the fruits used in this I figured it would be super sharp, but it’s actually quite gentle in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of sweet cherry, overripe banana, pineapple juice, funky guava, mango skin, vanilla, light peach, orange juice
It is a touch more aggressive in taste, still balanced but the guava is the star of the show. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting funky guava, orange juice, pineapple juice, overripe banana, sweet cherry, papaya, juicy strawberry, and vanilla. The swallow brings notes of funky guava, orange juice, jammy peach, sweet cherry, papaya, light vanilla, and lemon zest
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a rich beer. Finishes a bit sticky and coats the mouth
This is quite good, but would be so much better if the body was cleaned up just a little

16oz. can into a Side Project snifter.
This one looks exactly like papaya juice. Thick, viscous, little to no head, and a completely opaque V-8 orange. Nose is cherry. raspberry, mango, pineapple, and maybe some pear. Very aromatic. Beer opens cherry, raspberry, mango up front. More cherry, pineapple, some strawberry seediness in the middle and end. There's no papaya flavor presence but its influence on the body is readily apparent. Body is full with moderate carbonation. Rich and pulpy on the palate and goes down chunky and full. Long, lingering, messy aftertaste.
This one's aptly named as sometimes, its hard to tell what fruits have gone into this. Two things are for sure. 1. This isn't beer. 2. Its friggin delicious!

On tap at Mortalis Brewing in Avon, NY.
This one pours a slight reddish pink color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like a million different fruits - I don't need to list them all. Strawberry and pineapple are clearly dominant and jump to the forefront.
This fun and tropical at its core. It feels like the strawberry and pineapple were used the most here, but there's definitely a touch of sweet cherry, and a solid enough amount of passionfruit. It's not really sour at all, with just a light soft tartness on the back end.
This is light bodied, very juicy, with a very good level of drinkability.
I wish I got more of the fruit here. What's there is great, though.
