On tap at Mortalis Brewing in Avon, NY.
This one pours a slight hazy reddish-pink color, with a small head and not much lacing.
This smells as you’d expect, with both a tart and Maraschino like cherry aroma, some earthy almond, and a touch of acidity.
This has always been one of my favorite beer series from them, and this is another good entry. Almond and cherry is a classic combo. The cherry comes out more strongly, but the almond provides an earthy underpinning to keep it from being too fruity. There’s a touch of sourness, and not much to signify that the base is a sour IPA.
This is light bodied and very crisp, with a great level of drinkability.
The flavors are nailed here as usual. This is very tasty.
