This imperial pumpkin ale is brewed with pumpkin purée, blackstrap molasses, dark brown sugar and spices. It was then placed in specially selected rum barrels for 6 months to add toasted sugar, barrel char and complex caramel flavors.

This one pours a murky and dark brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like boozy caramel, molasses, toffee, rum, cinnamon, oak, cedar, pumpkin, nutmeg, vanilla, and breadiness.
This is pretty intense, but surprisingly not all that boozy for the strength. The spices are done well - there's definitely a good amount of cinnamon, but it never gets too spicy. There's a great intense caramel and molasses sweetness, with some spiced bread and spicy oak as well. The rum comes through strongly, adding spice and sweetness, along with sweet vanilla.
This is medium bodied, a bit creamy, with a great drinkability despite the huge beer that this is.
This is something that will probably age pretty well. It's real nice at the moment though.
