Murky dark peach. Guava and passionfruit dominate any tangerine character; nice tropical fruit drink. Good fruit/tart balance. Medium bodied fruit smoothie.

Served in a tulip
The beer poured a completely opaque, glowing orange hue with a subtle pinkish tinge. There was zero head and no lacing whatsoever. Small white particles could be seen floating throughout the liquid. As the beer receded, a wall of fine sediment coated the glass.
The nose was outstanding. Passionfruit dominated. Pleasantly sweet but also somewhat tart. Citrus notes were also apparent. Tangerine perhaps. As the beer sat, the tangerine really made its presence known. Hint of guava too, though I probably would not pick this out without prior knowledge of the ingredients.
The flavor profile was also fantastic. Passionfruit again came through super strong. Citrus notes appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Tangerine took over on the back end and the finish. Bit of lemony tartness too. Excellent balance of sweet and tart.
The mouthfeel was the only aspect of the beer that did not really blow me away. It was fuller bodied for the style and quite pulpy. The sediment in the liquid did give the beer a somewhat chalky texture however. A finer beaded, zippy effervescence worked nicely though.
There are numerous breweries out there today making smoothie-style fruited sours, but Mortalis are definitely one of the best at the game. With the exception of the slightly chalky mouthfeel, this beer was amazing.
