Murky pink pour crowned with a huge, bubbly head. The aroma bursts with mango, coconut, raspberry, vanilla, and a creamy lactose note. The flavor mirrors the nose: moderately sweet, with fruity tartness that keeps it from feeling heavy.

I had the Frose Hydra Deuce a while back and didn’t love it, but this one sounded good so I figured I’d give it a chance anyways. Let’s crack it open and find out what it has to offer

Pours an opaque bright red with a finger of creamy pinkish purple head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose is definitely sweet but there’s a decent tartness to cut through. I’m picking up on aromas of tart raspberry, pineapple juice, coconut milk, mango skin, honey, graham cracker, brown sugar, marshmallow, and light orange juice

Oh yeah, the tartness is amped up in taste, just what this neer needed. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart raspberry, passion fruit, mango skin, lemon juice, vanilla bean, marshmallow, pineapple juice, light coconut, and orange juice. The swallow brings notes of tart raspberry, lemon sorbet, mango skin, honey, vanilla bean, passion fruit, tangerine candy, marshmallow, and light brown sugar

A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out from the tartness

Oh yeah, this is much better than the Deuce

16oz. can into a Founder's snifter.

You know when you put vanilla ice cream into coke to make a float and the contents get all muddy and it forms a thick, rich, solid head? Exactly like that. Nose is mango, passion fruit sorbet mixed with vanilla ice cream and lactose. Delicious! Beer opens sweet overripe mango and passion fruit. I actually get mango chunks on the first sip. More mango in the middle with that seedy, slighly tart and sweet raspberry presence coming in. Vanilla ice cream at the finish. A delicious fruit smoothie. Body is full with low carbonation. Filmy and chunky in the mouth and solid going down. There's some carbonation but its suppressed by the fruit content. Messy, lingering finish.

Probably the best fruit smoothie of the bunch as the combination of mango and passion fruit is almost always a winner.

Blends of Passionfruit, Raspberry, Mango, Vanilla and Coconut. It smells absolutely awful, probably due to the feety smell passionfruit can give off. However it tastes so unique especially to the other Hydras. It smacks you in the face up front with Raspberry and Mango followed by a deep spiral into the coconut and vanilla unlike their other beers with vanilla where it comes in the end, rounded up by the prickly passionfruit that makes your taste buds go, wtf just happened?!
