This one pours a very thick pinkish purple color, with a small head, and lots of lacing/residue.
This one smells mostly like blackberry, but there's a sharp lemon funkiness, a touch of earthy tea, and just a hint of ginger on the nose.
They've done two different TotGs with tea in them - it's a beer that seems to work well with it. There's obviously a lot of blackberry added to this guy, as evinced by the color. The other secondary adjuncts add some cool twists and turns, though. The lemon feels the second strongest, adding a sharp acidity and funkiness, and it melds well with the light spiciness of the ginger. The tea is subtle, but definitely there, adding a earthy sweetness to the mix.
This is creamy, and smooth, and very drinkable, with a pretty low level of acidity.
I find this to be one of their most out there and creative series, and I tend to always love it.
