On tap at Superfly DMC in Penfield, NY.
This one pours a hazy golden dark orange color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells quite sweet, but decadent and inviting even with the somewhat cloying aroma. There's vanilla and marshmallow, with orange cream, and obviously a distinct cookie thing going for it.
Superfly cookies are some of the most delicious things that you can eat, and this does a really good job of expressing them in a milkshape IPA form. There's probably a German monk rolling over in his grave somewhere. This is definitely extremely sweet, even for Mortalis, which propagates a fairly hearty anti-dentist mentality anyway. The marshmallow from the cookie melds well with the hearty vanilla and lactose. It doesn't taste as salty as the actual cookies themselves, but it comes through subtly.
This is creamy, and slightly syrupy, with a lower and soft carbonation level. It's definitely drinkable, but you only really want a smaller pour of it.
This definitely functions well as a dessert beer, but you don't want a whole lot of it for the intended effect.
