This Fruited Sour blends blueberry, raspberry, and lemonade together to form just one of this monster's many heads. Keep your eyes peeled for even more flavor combinations.

Pours a dark purple - cabernet color. THICC, completely opaque, with lots of debris in it. Not much of a head to the beer, but it does show life. Aroma is straight berry jelly - tons of raspberry and blueberry with underlying notes of lemon and citrus. Its fruity, smells great if you love fruit smoothies, but isn't really much else beyond that.

Taste follows the nose - tons of tart berry, tastes very fresh, and then the lemonade comes through just accentuating the tart fruitiness of the beer. Lots of fruit, very refreshing, and quenching. Feel is thick, filling, and heavy. Moderately carbonated.

Overall its a lovely fruited smoothie sour - another quality offering from Mortalis.

I’m a sucker for fruited lemonade, and this Hydra sounds like it’ll be right up my alley. I find that lemon in these Smoothie Sours can give them a real defined characteristic that’s more than just a fruit juice, which I appreciate in the style. Let’s crack it open and see what it has to offer

Pours an opaque reddish purple with 2 fingers of reddish purple head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The lemon is front in center here as I hoped, but it’s also nicely balanced with the other elements. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon juice, jammy blueberry, tart raspberry, sour green apple, crackery malt, light vanilla, and orange juice

It unfortunately leans into the sweetness a bit more in taste, but is still pretty good regardless. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting jammy blueberry, grape jelly, tart raspberry, lemon zest, vanilla, and orange juice. The swallow brings notes of lemon juice, jammy blueberry, grape jelly, orange juice, raspberry sorbet, and vanilla

A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes mostly dry despite how rich it is

Well it wasn’t quite as good as I was expecting, but I can’t really complain about this one

Pours a dark purple with a slight fizz but no real head, leaves a residue of fruit bits in the glass. Aroma and taste are the same, blueberries and raspberries and lemonade, it's tasty but there is zero subtlety. Thick mouth feel but I also got a lot of lumps of fruit that were kinda unpleasant. Not sure why people go crazy over this style.

A: The beer is very dark opaque purple in color. It poured with a narrow collar of dark pink bubbles around the edge of the glass that faded away and left some small bits of fruit clinging to the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of blueberries and raspberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderately strong flavors of blueberries with notes of raspberries and underlying hints of lemons from the lemonade. There is a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit slick on the palate with a low amount of carbonation. Small bits of fruit chunks are noticeable in the mouthfeel.
O: I really liked the prominent aromas and flavors of blueberries in this sour - normally one might expect the raspberries ad lemonade to dominate the taste but this wasn't the case in this beer.

Sweet, tart blueberry-raspberry, hint of vanilla, and hint of lemonade nose on this one! Yummy! Taste follows with some sweet berry vibes upfront and then a pronounced lemon-tart sourness that zaps the palate and lingers! Nice! This has great body, depth and mouthfeel! Just outstanding!!!
