This Strong Ale is named after our home brewing friends Chris and Adam. Based off of an Old Fashioned, a strong caramel malt backbone is used to mimic sweetness and bourbon color. We then aged the beer 1 year in a Buffalo Trace barrel, added fresh orange zest, and dry hopped it with Amarillo.

Unreleased crowler from Mortalis Brewing Company.
This one pours a slightly murky golden brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like candied orange peel, dark fruit, caramel, maple, oak, orange-y hoppiness, and bourbon.
This is supposed to evoke an old-fashioned, and it does a pretty solid job at doing that. There's a lot of barrel, but it's well integrated, with vanilla and oak, and leathery/caramelly bourbon layered throughout. I get some maple, caramel, and dark breadiness from the base strong ale. The orange zest could have been weird here, but it works well. The Amarillo hops also seem to give a citrusy orange bitterness.
This is medium bodied, with a bit of a bite, but not all that much booziness to it. That ABV hits hard near the end of the crowler, though.
I really like what the brewery was going for with this one. It's a great effort here.
