Thick magenta slushy pour, almost chalky looking. Berries lead the nose with the maple, banana, and light coffee but don't get peach at all, sugary overall. Taste has the maple explode onto the palate with all of its sugar, coffee tries to cut but it just comes across as earth, which clashes a bit with the banana, and berries, peach caught in the middle of it all with vanilla, jam and more sugar. Sickly sweet impression. Body is indeed thicc but even more so super sugary, lightly tart. A death sentence to a diabetic in a "beer". A step or ten too far for me

Sweet and tart triple berry, hint of coffee, and hint of maple banana nose on this one! Taste follows with a very berry tart, hint of banana, and subdued maple coffee finish...some stonefruit/peachy tart notes show up as it warms. Whoa! This badboy is thicc!!! So smoothie like! Great!

Look - thick reddish color with lots and lots of skimming, as expected with a slushy style beer
Smell - Berry and coffee and sweet
Taste - Berry, coffee and a slight maple syrup
Feel - Thick pureee
Overall - Interesting and original to me but I would remove the coffee

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a custom Captain Lawrence muffin top pint; the production information is unreadable.
A: Pours an opaque, murky purple color with a one to two finger, still purple head, ?rim retention and rings of purple lacing.
S: Strange. I am getting aromas of black coffee, maple, blueberry, raspberry, and plum.
T: Sweet and not quite as tart as expected. Palate very maple to start, but gives way to blueberry and raspberry, basically berry as it warms. Perhaps some bitterness, like that derived from blueberry skins and strawberry pips, but a very strong maple aftertaste.
M: Medium to full bodied with hard to grade effervescence (because of the murkiness).
O: My first beer from Mortalis Brewing Company. A strange tasting brew with incompatible elements. Not sure if the coffee and maple elements are by design or accident. I won't be having this beer again and I question whether I should try anything by Mortalis again.
