This Fruited Sour was brewed in collaboration with 450 North Brewing Company. It blends banana, strawberry, raspberry, and marshmallow together to form just one of this monster’s many heads. Keep your eyes peeled for even more flavor combinations.

16oz can from Tavour. Murky lavender pour, light purple head. Aroma is hard cherry candy with notes of vanilla. Taste brings in cough syrup flavors, some of the marshmallow in the background. Got a little better with warmth. Overall, I was expecting better from this collab.

Pours a an opaque, light purple coloration with a small, wispy head that disappears immediately. Smells of ripe banana, strawberry and raspberry, with the banana and and raspberry dominating. Taste follows the nose, with an excellent balance of ripe, sweet and tart banana, raspberry and strawberry notes, as well as a certain marshmallow sweetness coming through as well. Finishes with a light tartness, medium sweetness and some banana and raspberry lingering in the aftertaste, as well as a light booziness. Thick mouthfeel with a medium body and medium/strong carbonation.
Smoothie Sours are my guilty pleasure, I absolutely love them if done well and this one certainly is, although I've had ones with thicker mouthfeel. Still, the ripe, natural fruit notes stand out vibrantly here, with a good balance of sweet and tart notes. Although the additional marshmallow sweetness almost pushes this over the edge, it never becomes quite overbearing and neither does the light booziness in the finish. It only came as a slight disappointment to me because of very high expectations (and the price point). I've certainly had better examples of the style, but this is still an excellent one.
