This Fruited Sour Smoothie blends strawberry, blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry, raspberry, cranberry, goldenberry, and marshmallows together to form just one of this monster’s many heads. A riff off of one of favorite Hydra blends to date but this time it contains NO cherries! Keep your eyes peeled for even more flavor combinations.

First sour ever from Mortalis; I can definitely see the hype. Clinging purée, Gushers aroma; blueberry, raspberry, cranberry lead the way, with the marshmallow really tying the pastry experience together. Palate tart, sweet, and mildly bitter. Crazy good.

16oz. can into a Founders snifter.

Dark red, super thick, almost purple. Of course this one leaves a layer of pulp on the side of the glass. Nose is gummies. I get raspberry, cherry (yep), blueberry, and blackberry. Aromatic and juicy with a huge bouquet of fruit. Beer opens blueberry and blackberry. Seedy and super juicy. Sweet with a fluffy marshmallow creaminess in the middle. The cranberry is actually rather apparent with a touch of pitty bitterness. More blueberry and strawberry at the finish. Not exactly refreshing. Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth and chunky on the palate and goes down grainy. Rich finish.

Very good flavorwise but not the best of these beers from Mortalis.
