No canning date. Can to snifter.
L: Pours a muddy purplish red. No head and just a thin layer of lacing. Full of very fine fruit sediment.
S: Sweet raspberry and cherry paired with the typical Mortalis notes of marshmallow and pastry dough.
T: Mostly raspberry here with just a few hints of pomegranate. Marshmallow and pop tarts are lending the sweet notes of vanilla and pastry dough. Fruity, sweet and minimally tart.
F: Thick and creamy, but not as smoothie-like as other Mortalis brews. Almost no carbonation.
O: Not as good as their best stuff, but still a very solid beer. Unfortunately a bit one-dimensional and less complex than I was expecting. However, I quite enjoyed it. These guys just can’t miss.
