On tap at The Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like herbal and spicy hops, slightly sweet malt, and lemon.
This is pretty solid stuff – the malt character might be a touch sweet, but the hop character is spot on as the style goes. There’s lemongrass, floral hops, lemon, and grassiness.
This is light bodied, clean and very crisp, with a very nice drinkability.
Mortalis is definitely a new money brewery, so I definitely appreciate the attempts to go with some old school styles.
