This Doppelbock is here just in time for the cooler months. A light warming heat is met with a bready malt backbone.

Beautifully clear dark copper brown with a moderately tall tan foam that slowly fizzles down to a spotty film and creamy ring.
Caramels and toffees meet bittering pumpernickel and rye without the caraway accented by a hint of crabapple tang.
The full body is lusciously round on the palate while set at a nice ABV allowing no booze to detract. A mildly soft yet firm fizz comes to a just barely paper dry finish.

On tap at The Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like spicy clove, bready malt, and toffee.
This is quite malty, as you’d want in this style, with some breadiness, rye, toffee, and maybe a little bit of chocolate, with some clove-ish yeasty character.
This is medium bodied, and quite creamy, with just a slight hint of boozy warmth.
This is pretty solid stuff, not quite top tier, but good.
