Received a care package from the generous @jzeilinger on 10-16-25. Canned on 9-9-25; consumed on 12-6-25. Cold stored since receiving.
Beer poured cloudy light orange with a very nice white head with the original pour.
Nose has notes of stone fruits and citrus.
Taste is a medium pale malt base where the hops take over in full force; i am getting notes of grapefruit and orange up front while post sip aspirations leave a clear peach impression. Finishes with a nice pine and rind bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this is my favorite of the 3 Mortalis DIPA, very nice use of hops!

Appearance: Pours a completely clouded, medium to pale orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, tropical, melon, mango. Juicy tropical. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, lime, kiwi, pear, pineapple. Tropical melon underneath. Juicy mildly sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, finishes, juicy, and mildly sweet. (4.25)
Compared to Mortalis Strange Philosophies 105 8/24: Pours darker, milder head. Milder aromas. More pear, kiwi, vinous and passionfruit. Less pineapple, lime, and mango. Winner: Strange Philosophies
Compared to BlackStack Pseudoscience 9/24: Pours darker, hazier, similar head. Milder aromas. More tropical orange, tangerine, stonefruit, melon, berries. Less pineapple, mango, passionfruit and juice. More tropical and dry.
Overall: I picked this up on Tavour for a hefty penny. Some Cascade and New Zealand hop flavors. A bit more passionfruit, and vinous pear notes. Some red berry/melon from the Riwaka. Unique flavor profile also oustanding. I'd give Aether an Oustanding rating: 4.18 on BeerAdvocate.
