This Imperial Coffee Stout is brewed in collaboration with Prison City Pub and Brewery. We have blended our base As Above recipe with Prison City's Wham Whams recipe and conditioned the beer on a fan favorite coffee, toasted coconut, and Tahitian vanilla. Then, the base was aged for a year in both Weller and Eagle Rare barrels.

Small snifter at a line crawl. Much better than the straight Prison City BA Whams Above Whams Below…more bright bourbon, chewier mouthfeel. Coconut more pronounced and fresher taste.

This one pours a dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like rich, aromatic, and delicious coconut, caramel, pecan, maple, roasted malt, and dark chocolate.

This is quite good, as a cross between Wham Whams and As Above So Below is entitled to be. The only real problem is that there’s very little barrel character underneath the big blast of coconut and flavored coffee. It’s very good barrels underneath here, but they are wasted. It tastes 95% like the base Whams Above, Whams Below. In a vacuum, it’s still delicious, but it could be so much more.

This is medium bodied, super creamy and rich, with very little booziness to it.

This is undeniably delicious but with more barrel it would have been excellent.
