This Double IPA was brewed in collaboration with frequentem Brewing. Freestyle Motueka hops are met with large addition of our hand selected Simcoe from Yakima Chief. The result brings ripe stone fruit, zesty lime, and sweet citrus.

one of the better hazy imperial types ive had all year, stoked to see some mortalis stuff popping up in idaho, this is really nice, great hop complexion, still some bitterness, juicy fruit, fresh for traveling far, definitely jazzed on this one. pale frosted looking straw color, lighten in shade than many of these, super frothy creamy white head on top with pretty lacing from the happy gilmore themed can, looks almost nitro its so thick up top, which sets the stage for a long and full experience, lots of wheaty and perhaps oaty body for the hop goodness to cling to. a nice nose of melon and eucalyptus to me, green grape and pear, southern hemisphere hops but a gin note too, coconut, sweet pineapple, heady sativa, just popping, could be cryo hops in this, pungent early. the flavor is bold too, almost candied intensity to the hops but its dry beer, airy frothy feel for a double, no sign of its strength and not heavy to drink on even though there is some starchy grain to it. the hop profile is amazing, white grapefruit, white wine, pine, honeydew, clementine, coconut water, lime, just fabulous. creamy and flavorful, modern and fresh, tidy ferment, well hidden strength, exceptional overall. cant wait to get into some more of the beers they sent to idaho, a great addition to the market here!

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy yellow pour, soft white head, lacing. Light citrusy aroma, grapefruit, lemon meringue. Taste brings more citrus plus mild stone fruit flavors. Fruity, light zesty bitterness, creamy feel. Wonderful collaboration.

16oz can pours beautifully in the glass, bright golden haze with absolutely stately and picturesque tight-bubbled white head. Fruity, tropical, citrusy, creamy, pillowy, enjoyable, with candy-like qualities and minimal alcohol for a DIPA.

From a 16oz can, undated as best I can tell. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a pale, cloudy orange with a finger or so of soapy suds. Retention is OK, leaving a fizzy skiff and a barely rousable, slippery sheet of bubbly lacing.
Nose is yeasty with tart-fruity esters. Candy-like aroma of pineapple and pop.
Taste is thin and soda-like, pithy and astringent. Tasting orange slices, kiwi and lime. Sticky peach juice. Sour Patch Kids in assorted tropical flavors.
Feel is watery-juicy, fairly light bodied with fine, tingly carbonation. Sticky, sour finish. I’d forgotten about the 8% abv but now I feel that smidge of warmth in the gullet.
Overall, light and fruity. Well, not really light at 8%, is it? But it felt light. Although I may need a Tums a bit later.
