This Double IPA starts with a blend of Citra and Simcoe hops. The base then receives a large addition of Waimea hops in the whirlpool and dry hop. Super juicy ripe fruit mixed with a full and sweeter body.

Received a care package from the generous @jzeilinger on 10-16-25. Canned 7-15-25; consumed on 12-5-25. Cold stored since receiving.
Beer poured chilled golden orange with a nice head with the original pour.
Nose has notes of pineapple, citrus, and floral hops.
Taste is a large pale malt base that is quickly overrun by a boatload of hops that give flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, and orange. Finishes dry with a woody and piney bite; 7/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this sounds like a really interesting series of experiments. Mortalis has a nice base DIPA and i would expect most hop varieties would be solid!

Poured into a Monkless tulip
P pours a cloudy pale orange w/ a 1f foamy slightly off-white head; med lace toward the top of the glass
N med nose of semi-sweet juicy citrus over biscuity malt; nice
T smooth creamy biscuity malt carries citrus, passion fruit, and a bit of stone fruit as well; some sharp citrus in the aftertaste; grapefruit as it opens; a tasty blend for sure
Mf med to med-full bodied w/ med to med-high carb; airy yet satisfying
O great stuff; thanks again, J!

This was a big brew tossed in a salad birthday gift from my daughter and son in law (some kitchen stuff, some edible stuff with this the only alcohol). Good one.
It pours a thick hazy, dirty yellow. The aroma is a nice stanky east coast hazy. The taste is a little overwhelming until you give in to it. Now I wish I had more, but I don't think I've seen this brewer before. It was a gift.
Highly recommended. I'll ask for this brewer (we'll see if World Wines in Mentor can get their stuff).

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, soft white foamy head fades to flat. Juicebomb anyone? Aroma is fruity, citrus edging out tropical. Taste leans more on the tropical flavors, although there is still quite a bit of citrus present. Kind of like an orange - pineapple juice with an edge. I've loved this series so far, can't wait for the next.

From a 16oz can. There looks to be a date on the can, but it's smudged.
This is a very murky looking beer. It looks like a cross between pineapple juice and cream. So murky and hazy. There's no light that can shine through this beer. There's a 1 finger white head to this beer. The head retention is average, but there's minimal lacing as the head dissipates.
Aroma is off the chart tropical smelling. There's so much hitting my nose as I poured it into the glass. Up close It has more of a dank smell and quite earthy with notes of the tropical. Quite interesting to say the least.
The flavor seems somewhat mellow up front with just faint tropical hints. The hints of dank and earthy are on the back, and they do linger. They're more than hints, but not overpowering or offensive. There's also hints of tropical that mix in with the dank.
This is a soft and juicy feeling beer. The beer is also a resin feeling to it. There's a bubbly feeling to this beer.
This is a very tasty beer. It has a lot going on here, and a pleasure to have the chance to try it.
