This Imperial Stout was brewed in collaboration with Equilibrium Brewery. After aging for 14 months in Heaven Hill and Brandy barrels, we conditioned the beer on house roasted peanuts and Thai Bananas. Waves of silky chocolate and roasty peanuts are met by subtle notes of creamy Thai bananas.

All roasted peanuts on the nose; hints of overripe banana starts to emerge with time in the glass. Howler Head vibes on the palate; warming booze, subtle vanilla, charred oak, and bananas foster. Peanuts take a backseat but are still present.

On tap at The Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like caramelized banana, caramel, vanilla, nutty roast, and a touch of barrel.
The peanut character is stronger on the taste than the banana – the aroma almost feels reversed. It’s nutty and rich – it’s not outright a peanut butter flavor, more actual peanut. Maybe like peanuts dipped in caramel? There’s a touch of barrel, not a ton, with just a hint of caramel and spice. The banana flavor is nice, caramelized and sweet. This is definitely sweet, but not outrageously so.
This is creamy, and thick, with a lower level of carbonation. It’s velvety and smooth.
I definitely want more barrel here, but it’s still quite tasty, and a nice combination of flavors all in all.
