No date but as old as my previous can, so probably a month, into a Troegs pint glass.
Pours an extremely thick, opaque light pink with a dense pink head that forms after a few minutes. Leaves thick residue and chunks all over the glass. Smells like strawberry jam, banana, and vanilla, but not super strong. Flavor is SUGAR UPON SUGAR. It was described as a banana split sour, and there's no real sour except some snap on the finish. Overripe banana and strawberry jam rule this beer, followed up by sweet vanilla, cream, and milk chocolate. Tiny sourness on the finish. Feel is chunky and extremely thick, I can see blended fruit and seeds in it.
Overall, wow. This is the most extreme beer I've ever had, and I've had some seriously crazy wild ales, BBA stouts, and triple IPAs. The last Mortalis sour I had was mind-blowing in how it could be so smooth and rich as well as bring amazingly fresh fruit flavors into something recognizable as beer. This one is just melted ice cream and fruit. Perfect execution, just far too sweet and too much for me.

Some say that brewers are blurring a dangerous line that separates smoothie from ale. But the brewers of Mortalis and Omnipollo aren't blurring any lines at all; they're racing past the line after trampling all over it and daring it to get back up. Their collaboration is an alcoholic smoothie made with a few basic beer pieces and parts.
After donating roughly eighty percent of the ale to the drain, the explosive pour leaves me mopping the ceiling. What does manage to find the glass shows a foamy, milky pastel blush pink appearance with the visual consistency of mashed potatoes. But the sweet and creamy scent of red berry, french vanilla and tropical fruit are suggestive of creamery than of brewery. And there's noting in the flavor to suggest anything otherwise as the early sips reveal whole milk, heavy cream and condensed milk with hints of white chocolate and fruit syrups.
There's a bubbly nature about the ale that lightens the middle palate slightly and to bring a marshmallowy fluff texture that highlights the taste of banana as well as more nuanced tropical flavors of pineapple and coconut. As the strawberries make their mark on the late palate, the sensation of banana split start to pile on the tastebuds. A hint of white russian warmth play into the sweet and milky finish.
Recklessly full for sour ale, the beer finishes with a twinge of tartness to highlight the fruit into a smoothie-like finish with a smooth, creamy and velvety aftertaste. What's arguable is that this is a beer, what's not arguable is that it's downright tasty.

Canned 2/22/23
And yet another Mortalis beer via Tavour. I’ve been having much more from them recently since it’s usually readily available in the app. I’ve yet to have anything from Omnipollo, so it’s cool they collabed on this one. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours an opaque pinkish orange with 2 fingers of thick frothy head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing. It kinda looks like a Smooj with the smoothie texture
The nose has a nice tartness to it, but the sweetness from the ice cream is the driving factor. I’m picking up on aromas of vanilla ice cream, juicy strawberry, pineapple juice, tart raspberry, banana cream, milk chocolate, and light walnut
In taste it’s a little less tart, though still just as good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting juicy strawberry, banana milkshake, sweet vanilla, pineapple juice, chocolate ice cream, and light raspberry. The swallow brings notes of banana milkshake, vanilla ice cream, juicy strawberry, milk chocolate, pineapple juice, and light raspberry
A full body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a creamy, smoothie-like beer. Finishes quite sticky but it makes sense for the beer
This is definitely the thickest beer I’ve had from Mortalis so far. It’s very good, though I’m not sure I could do more than one
