16 FL OZ can
Served in an oversized wine glass
This beer pours thick and viscous. It is a murky orange color and topped with large bubbles that are covered in fruit purée. Globs of the fruit slurry cover the sides of the glass.
It smells like a fruit medley with some coconut thrown in for good measure.
I can pick out the peach, lime, and coconut. The rest blends together in deliciousness.
Thick bodied with a thick and creamy mouthfeel
I had a HOMES version, so for the sake of science, I had to have a Mortalis version. Yummy, yummy, yummy I got love in my tummy.

Drank from a 1 pint/16 fl. oz. can purchased at Gordon’s Fine Wine and Liquor, Watertown, MA

Served in a tulip
The beer poured a light pink-ish orange hue that was reminiscent of pink guava. A massive, reverse cascading crown topped the liquid and eventually settled to an incredibly tight, creamy and frothy head that was a shade lighter than the body. As the liquid receded, a gloppy film stuck along the glass.
The aroma was outstanding. Pink guava came through big time. Loads of pineapple too. Coconut was also quite noticeable. Good dose of tart lime. Bit of peach as well.
The flavor profile was just as impressive as the aroma. Pink guava was again most prominent. Pineapple was noticeable in the center. Bit of coconut too. Tart lime notes appeared on the back end and crescendoed in the finish. Zesty with a hint of rind-like bitterness.
Fantastic rich, dense, full bodied mouthfeel. Slippery and slick, like a fruit smoothie. The liquid contained a fine, somewhat zippy effervescence that gave the beer a nice spritzy-ness on the palate.
Mortalis’s fruited sours are always fantastic, and this beer is another stellar example in their ever-expanding portfolio. Although I often think of these fruited sours as being kitschy or gimmicky, they are super enjoyable and are usually far better than similar efforts by other breweries.
