The use of guava in these Smoothie Sours is often perplexing, as it's hard to get right but so lovely when properly executed. Passionfruit and mango are logical fruits to pair it with, so I'm thinking this one will be well balanced. Let's dive in
Pours a opaque murky orange with a finger of whitish orange head that immediately fades to nothing and leaves no lacing
This is showing great promise in the nose, the guava leads and it's nice and tart. I'm picking up on aromas of funky guava, mango skin, lemon juice, bready malt, pineapple juice, passionfruit, light grass, and orange zest
It's a bit more generic and only focused on fruit in taste, but it's still good for what it is. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting underripe mango, pineapple juice, lemon zest, passionfruit, tart guava, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of funky guava, mango skin, lemon zest, passionfruit, pineapple juice, and an odd hint of nutmeg
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
Though it could've used a bit more tartness and complexity in taste, I really dig this one. The mouthfeel being so bright despite the nature of the style is actually damn impressive

Pours a cloudy, chunky, smoothie like consistency. Its ugly, it doesn't have much of a head, and its thicc, but that's to be expected from the style. The aroma is straight fruit - mango, guava and passionfruit - with a slight tart sourness coming through.
Taste follows the nose - lots of mango, guava and passionfruit but there is also some citrus and tropical fruits. Moderately sour, lightly tart, completely refreshing. Feel is thick, heavy and filling - it's a smoothie. Nothing unexpected for the style or the brewery though. Still has some bright carbonation that helps balance out that sweet thick fruitiness.
Overall its a nice fruited smoothie - delicious and well done.
