This Double IPA is part of our exploration series. Too often, we become complacent and forget to push the boundaries and search the unending hop combinations to find a stroke of genius. Time to get back to class! This version features Citra and a large addition of Mega Motueka from Freestyle Hops.

Appearance: Pour a completely hazy (5-10% clarity) medium orange/yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange citrus, tropical, pineapple, papaya, mango. Juicy and tropical. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus, juicy pineapple, papaya, melon, mango sweetness, off the end. Juicy, tropical and slightly sweet. (4.50)
Feel: Medium body, average carbonation, finishes, juicy, tropical and slightly sweet. (4.25)
Compared to Toppling Goliath Haze Cadet 6/2024: Pours similar, milder head. Stronger aromas. More tropical and juicy pineapple, papaya, mango. Less orange citrus zest, grapefruit, and flower. More tropical and sweet.
to Hop Butcher Unwind Your Mind 6/2024: Pours brighter, milder head. Stronger aromas. More pineapple, mango, tropical notes. Less dank orange, lychee, pine. Juicier. Winner: Mortalis.
to BlackStack PseudoScience 6/2024: Pours darker, stronger head. Milder aromas. Less tropical pineapple, mango. More lemon citrus, grapefruit zest, grape. Slightly drier.
to Toppling Goliath Cosmic Archer. Pours lighter, milder head. Stronger aromas. More tropical pineapple, mango, lime. Less orange, grape, zest. Sweeter and juicier.
to Mortalis Aether 8/24: Pours lighter, stronger head. Stronger aromas. Less pear, kiwi, vinous and passionfruit. More pineapple, lime, and mango. Winner: Strange Philosophies
Overall: This one drinks with strong and juicy pineapple, tropical papaya, melon, and sweet lime and mango flavors. I really like the Moteuka hop here. First try at an IPA from Mortalis and paid a heavy penny, but great first impression here. Always fortunate when I get to try some great haze from out east that is halfway fresh. I'll have to try more from these guys. (Rating: 4.28)

Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a white head . Smell is fruity and tropical. Taste has citrus ,melon papaya,and passion fruit. A swwet mouth feel with ABV well hidden.
