This Fruited Smoothie Sour was brewed in collaboration with our good friends on the other side of Lima, Other Half FLX. Our base Sour was first aged for 8 months in a Grape Brandy barrel. Then, it received concord grapes and our crumble treatment (contains granola and coconut) to emulate flavors of the iconic New York grape pie. With help from Cindy’s Pie in Naples, NY we were able to replicate a delicious treat in liquid form!

Very sweet and sour. Urine smelled like grape jelly through the whole next day.

It’s unfair how good this is. Thick grape juice smoothie w/ coconut & vanilla on the nose. Jammy parfait vibes. Puckering tartness accompanies a boozy warmth all the way down.

This one pours a very thick looking purple color, with a small head, and lots of sticky lacing.
This is just a grapesplosion on the nose, jammy Concord grapes, with a touch of coconut and pie-like aromas.
The barrel is pretty light here, but you do get a sort of mildly boozy sweetness that’s pretty pleasant. There’s just so much grape here, but done well. This style is very much not my thing anymore, but it’s hard to deny how tasty this is, and how well Mortalis handles grape.
This is super thick, creamy, and just plain gloopy, with no booziness to it.
A small amount of this is more than enough, but it’s undeniably a tasty if extreme beer.
