This Double IPA showcases the Chinook hop and blends the wise dank flavors of the West Coast IPA with the warring juicy tropical fruit flavors of the East Coast IPA, providing the best of both worlds. We have conditioned this version on pineapple.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pleasantly pineapple-y. There’s a lot of citrus and some light pine on the nose, too.
I wouldn’t say I could tell that it has pineapple added, as it dovetails well into the already citrusy and soft beer here. It’s got mango too, and grapefruit, with just a hint of bitterness.
This is soft, light bodied, and drinks a lot lighter than DIPAs typically do.
I liked the regular Athena a lot, but this honestly was better, which is not usually how I feel with fruited IPAs.
