This Winter Warmer is just in time for the colder weather. The jet black pour is medium bodied with a hint of roast.

Sleeper beer. Starts out with a good bit of winter spice, kept bright with loads of carbonation, then finished the glass with dark chocolate notes. Best in generous mouthfuls, not sips.

On tap at the Richmond in Rochester, NY.
This one pours very stout-like, with a jet black pour, a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty much indistinguishable from a stout, with a distinct roastiness and some chocolate.
This tastes a like a pretty solid lower alcohol stout, something Mortalis doesn’t do all that often outside of the heavily pastry Venus series. It doesn’t really taste like any sort of winter spice that would make this a Winter Warmer, which is perplexing.
This is medium bodied, with a nice roasty bite, and a good drinkability.
This was a bit confusing but ultimately pretty good.
